Arbors

Arbors are attractive and functional while providing plenty of shade and privacy. Generally they are open structures with roof coverings of some sort.

Pergolas are virtually the same thing except they are usually more open roofed with lattice or spaced timbers. Gazebos are also similar but are generally enclosed structures with walls.

The most important thing to remember is to be sure they are anchored properly to handle the wind. Any open structure with a roof will lift even at lower wind speeds.
