Electric Outdoor Lighting
Electric outdoor lighting
is an important part of any outdoor living space. There are unlimited styles available with different bulb types and sizes. The type, size and style you choose will depend on what your trying to light and how bright.
If you are using additional lighting sources like
solar
or
gel burners,
you may not need anything more than low light. Decide on the overall plan and then pick the level of light required before searching a specific style.
I have several light sources but I still wanted some bright light around the patio for when I let my dogs out. I went with a brighter bulb type and only needed 5 lights as shown below.

Although I have only 5 of these lights they are strong enough to light up the patio and cast light out into the yard. I also have some solar lights, gel burners and
candle
lighting throughout my yard.
Generally outdoor electric lights do not use much energy but you may want to use a timer to program your lights. If purchasing a kit there will be a timer enclosed but if you want to be a little more creative on your style selection, you will need to purchase a timer separately. I like to program my lights to come on at sundown and off at sunrise. You can also have them tied to an indoor switch which will allow you total control.
Whatever lights are chosen, you can't go wrong since any outdoor lights are a significant part of outdoor living.
