Outdoor Water Features

Outdoor water features are an important part of any outdoor paradise. There are several options available including ponds, waterfalls, fountains and birdbaths . There are also many styles, materials and different sounds offered.

You may want to consider all landscape designs and themes before you choose your perfect water element. A water feature is the perfect focal point for all gardens of any type. Certain plants appreciate the occasional splash of water a feature can provide. With water you can create your own mini eco system, a great learning experience for children.

The joy and relaxation water can provide is well worth considering. It also provides the ability to mask the neighborhood noise when needed. I prefer fountains since they tend to cover the typical suburban noise.

Ponds work well and are versatile since you can have a waterfall spilling into them or connect them to a stream. You can even add fountains to ponds to help with air circulation, or have fish in your pond.

Jacuzzis are not really a water feature but they do hold water and are becoming a very popular water addition to the yard. You'll need to make sure to run an electric line for the intended location. Consider enclosing them since in some areas the bugs can be quite bad. Some even come with the entire enclosure.Outdoor water features have become one of the most important parts of outdoor living.
