Solar Lights
Solar lighting is a great way to add energy efficient outdoor lighting. There are a number of styles and intensities offered in solar which has greatly improved over the last several years. Todays garden solar lights can hold a charge longer and have greater intensity but if your looking for bright lighting you may still want to add some electric lighting. In my yard I have a good mix of solar and electric lighting. I use the electric lighting around the patio and the solar lighting to cast a nice glow along walkways. There are many styles available to match any garden theme or existing electric lighting. They must be placed in a full sun area in order to get the most light time. It's especially nice that they can be moved anywhere at anytime since there is no wiring. Just keep in mind not to place them to close to any electric lighting since they operate on light sensors. Solar lights are especially good for anyone interested in the recent "Green" trend. They use no energy, the batteries are re-chargable and generally last a long time if properly cared for. If your in a cold weather climate it's best to remove them in the winter and store the batteries in a cool dry location. Garden solar lights are a perfect

to all outdoor living areas. They are inexpensive, easy to install and look great with little or no maintenance.
